OVERVIEW - A WORLD CLASS FACILITY

Melbourne Gym Sports is proud to boast a world-class training facility for Aerobic Gymnastics. Our space has been purposely fitted out for the sport, and was the first of it's kind in Australia. We have training space in excess of 350sqm and tailor the use of space to suit each individual program we have on offer. We also host an array of competitions and events, including State Team Trials and State Championships. We welcome enquiries for use of our space.

OUR FLOORS

We're proud to be the only club in Australia with a Spieth Aerobic Gymnastics floor. Our floor comes all the way from Germany and is one of the accredited floors for international events by the FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) at World Aerobic Gymnastics events. The same floor is used by Gymnastics Australia/Victoria at State and National events. Our athletes have a unique competitive advantage; they are able to train on the same floor they perform on at many competitions.

In addition to our Spieth floor, we have around 200sqm of sprung, dance style flooring. Our sprung floor reduces the impact force on joints by 60% and is the same floor used by the Australian Ballet.

OUR EQUIPMENT

The equipment available to our participants to enhance their experience include:

-Mirrors

-Ballet bars

-Wall bars

-Balance beams

-Air tracks

-Strength and conditioning equipment

-A range of mats and training aids

-Wall-mounted television

-Games

-Whiteboards

-Music devices

OUR NON-TRAINING SPACES

We have a very welcoming reception and lounge area that participants are able to use beforein-between and after their class. Our lounge is equiped with lockers, bean bags, a couch and a large table. Participants who come straight from school enjoy using the space to complete their homework prior to their training session. Many participants also enjoy it as a break space between classes.

OUR CLUB IS POSITIVE

At MGS, we believe in creating a positive environment. We foster a culture of having a growth mindset and not seeing mistakes as failure, but rather as an opportunity for learning and growth. We set goals, discuss what it will take to achieve them, hold participants and staff accountable and review what needs to be done for further improvement. Our positive culture is promoted throughout the facility.

We have high expectations (relative of course!) of everyone involved with our club, because nobody rises to low expectations.
