OUR FACILITY
A WORLD CLASS FACILITY
Melbourne Gym Sports is proud to boast a world-class training facility for Aerobic Gymnastics. Our space has been purposely fitted out for the sport, and was the first of it's kind in Australia. We have training space in excess of 350sqm and tailor the use of space to suit each individual program we have on offer. We also host an array of competitions and events, including State Team Trials and State Championships. We welcome enquiries for use of our space.
OUR FLOORS
We're proud to be the one of the only clubs in Australia with a Spieth Aerobic Gymnastics floor. Our floor comes all the way from Germany and is one of the accredited floors for international events by the FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) at World Aerobic Gymnastics events. The same floor is used by Gymnastics Australia/Victoria at State and National events. Our athletes have a unique competitive advantage; they are able to train on the same floor they perform on at many competitions.
In addition to our Spieth floor, we have around 200sqm of sprung, dance style flooring. Our sprung floor reduces the impact force on joints by 60% and is the same floor used by the Australian Ballet.
